The Escalade Cot is a unique item because it sets up so quickly and easily... and taking it down is just as easy. The fabric and frame are all connected, so there's no assembly required. Basically after you take it out of the included stuff sack, you unfold the cot and it "pops" open... and you're ready for a good night's sleep. Not having end bars to attach also ensures that your head won't ever hit anything besides fabric. When you wake up in the morning, and are ready to pack it up, you simply turn the cot on its side, let it "collapse" and fold it up. It's really that easy! The angled legs on the cot prevent it from rocking back and forth and the center support makes the cot rock solid.

The Escalade Cot has been rated 1 time.
4.0 out of 5 stars
Just the right size for a big guy

The cot arrived in perfect condition. I read the instructions and then set it up in my living room. It was very easy to set up by myself and the clay color is perfect. I only gave four stars because when I broke it down and folded it up I noticed the four bolts that hold the center hinge together has very sharp threads facing the inside of the cot and one of the bolts caused a snag on top of the fabric when folding. I can see over time this will be a huge issue. I'm surprised this has not been caught by quality control. I'm going to try and find either different nut and bolts or maybe plastic caps for the end of the bolts. A small price to pay for the perfect cot and Alps is still mine and my Boy Scout Troops favorite in our choice for camping gear.
