Camp Creek 6 Gray/Red | 5625042 |
I camp roughly 30 days a year on an island located on Rainy Lake, MN. High winds, and heavy downpours, can be expected during my stay. But for the Camp Creek 6, its no problem. I’ve used this tent for five years, and it still performs well. Two things that I love about the Camp Creek, are the steel, vertical, corner poles and the rain fly. The steel poles add extra weight vs fiberglass, but they really provide the added strength needed to withstand the 40+ mph wind gusts off the lake.
The second thing I love about this tent is the rain fly. Some rain flys snap like a bed sheet in the wind, but not this one is quiet!!!! If you’ve ever been awakened in the middle of the night by the “crack” of a rain fly, you’ll know what I mean. It’s my go to, when I want a sturdy, quiet, dry tent to sleep in!!!!!!!
This tent is top of the line for any glamper. It's large, you can stand inside even with all your camp gear piled around your sleeping arrangements with your better half. Heavy rainfall may start to soak the sides and lower portion but you will remain dry through the experience. 2 person set up in approximately 5 minutes from unpack to final staking. Light enough for 2 people to pick up and shake out while fully assembled. Not for backpacking, but the best car camping tent out there. Buy a footprint for a long service life.
