The Lynx 1 is loaded with features and is great for your solo getaway. With the freestanding design and pole clips that quickly attach to the aluminum poles, it sets up easily. There are extra-large #8 zippers on the door and vestibule. What's especially nice about the Lynx is that the walls are mostly mesh, which helps increase ventilation. To be sure no corners are cut, ALPS has the factory seal the fly and floor seams and coats the floor with 2000mm to keep you dry if you run into a rain shower.

Sturdy and Toasty Tent

This tent held up to a Texas gust front when others in my group had snapped poles. I like it so much I also bought the 2-person version. On cold nights, the small space warms up very quickly and I stay toasty. But on warm summer nights, it's very hot inside. I used clips to roll the rain fly up for airflow, when I still needed cover from a light rain. If this tent had 2-doors for airflow, I'd give it 5 Stars.

Easy to Put UP!

Great tent. I am a 75-year-old crafter and take it to craft shows, camping in nearby campgrounds. 10 minutes does it. I use a rubber-backed rug under the fly entrance and a mate beyond that, as many camping spots are sandy or have pine needles. Only detraction is heavy rain. In future (which starts this week). I will put a solid rubber mat over the top if I spot rain clouds. Light rain is OK, but heavy rain depresses the top of the tent above the vents and allows rain to enter the vents.
