Mystique 1.5 Gray/Navy | 5122750 |
I like this little tent, has enough room for my overnights, my gear and my 12 pound dog. But it sags after awhile and when it gets the morning dew on it. Does anyone else have this issue?
I have used this tent crossing America on a bicycle three times. It has yet to disappoint me in any way. It is roomy enough not to feel claustrophobic, and small enough to not be obnoxious either size-wise or with the muted orange color. Other tenters have made comments on how impressed they were at how FAST the tent is set up. While other bicycle tourers bring huge, expensive, unnecessary tents, I bring the 1.5 and think it is the best bicycle touring tent you can buy.
I have had the Mystique 1.5 for 5 years and used it an overage of twice a year. i love the extra space, the reasonable weight and the durability (I do use a footprint). Its a great backpacking tent, but in no means an ultralight, but that's fine for me. I only have two, concerns. First, the tent is not free standing, so I have had to get creative on rocky ground. and second, it is no longer available at REI. Bummer.
