Mystique 1.5-Person
Lightweight 1-person 3-season tent
The Mystique is a 2 pole, non-freestanding tent and is the most lightweight model in our line. The Mystique comes equipped with #8 zippers, factory sealed fly and floor seams, and 2 mesh doors for great ventilation and easy entry and exit. The weatherproof fly provides a vestibule over each door and has a vent that you can keep open or closed. So if weight is an issue and quality is a must, there's no better choice than the Mystique.

Perfect of bicycle touring

I have used this tent crossing America on a bicycle three times. It has yet to disappoint me in any way. It is roomy enough not to feel claustrophobic, and small enough to not be obnoxious either size-wise or with the muted orange color. Other tenters have made comments on how impressed they were at how FAST the tent is set up. While other bicycle tourers bring huge, expensive, unnecessary tents, I bring the 1.5 and think it is the best bicycle touring tent you can buy.

Love this tent

I have had the Mystique 1.5 for 5 years and used it an overage of twice a year. i love the extra space, the reasonable weight and the durability (I do use a footprint). Its a great backpacking tent, but in no means an ultralight, but that's fine for me. I only have two, concerns. First, the tent is not free standing, so I have had to get creative on rocky ground. and second, it is no longer available at REI. Bummer.

Very roomy and comfy

This tent is straight up the best. It is worth the small bit of extra weight. After you have it set up and lay down you feel like you are in a small bedroom. The airflow can be amazing! The airflow is customizable in my experience. Also being able to get out of the tent on either side give you more options for a camp. Just remember what side the cliff is on lol. You could fit two average sized adults in this tent and stow your gear under the vestibules. And no water drops when you bump the walls. The shape is made for high winds, rains or whatever. The customer service is more than awesome. When I contacted them "just FYI it wasn't because I had a problem". I contacted them because I had a few questions which they resolved fast. I won't buy a tent from anyone else as long as Alps is here. I purchased mine in NOV of 2018 and have used it a good few times. Only reason it took me so long to review is because I became slightly ill. Now back in full force I am looking for my next hike that I can take this tent on. Kernville or the Sequoia's looks like it's going to happen soon. For the average hiker or backpacker this tent is more than fantastic. If your one of "those people" the ultralight guys that finish the PCT in 3 months than no. This tent is great for camping and backpacking. At some point I will myself be using this tent on the PCT. You will not have any regrets buying this tent. And NO, I am not a paid actor lol.
